Does anybody use Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer from the Magnificat? I realize that
the hours in the Magnificat are not the same as in the Liturgy of the Hours, just looking for opinions and/or reviews.

Thanks.

I’ve had a subscription to Magnificat for one year now. Very helpful at daily Mass and to follow the Readings on the weekend Masses. Magnificat also has commentary from various Catholic writers and priests and a devotion & explanation is always included each day on a saint.

We use Magnificat for morning and evening prayers. It is very simple and gets you in the habit without requiring any training or practice. We have subscriptions for our teen chilldren, and they carry them to school and read the Mass readings, reflections, and other daily tidbits (saint info, etc.) during the day as they have an opportunity.

A subscription can be expensive, however, I find it very worthwhile.

I find all the prayers in the Magnificat to be very inspirational. And the daily Mass readings are wonderful even for the days that I don’t get to daily Mass.

They also have special publications - they have one out now for the new responses to the Mass, which I have ordered.

Although, I find it hard to find time for evening prayers. I try to always pray morning prayers, and Daily Mass. Magnificat is wonderful.

I really like it. Every change is shown, our part and the priests, with an explanation.

Good to hear that - I ordered mine back in September but they were out of print temporarily so they now tell me that a new printing is coming out this week. I really look forward to getting it. I am old enough to remember the Latin Mass very well and welcome the changes that I am hearing about at our church.

We are very blessed to have a pastor who has the sacristan hand out Magnificat to all the daily mass-goers. There are about 40 of us. This has been going on for about four years now.

Although I use the LOTH for Morning, Evening, and Night Prayer, I like to read about the saints, the special prayers, spiritual direction, and daily Mass readings in the Magnificat. I also very much like the art on the cover, and in the back where they explain all the details and the history of the picture.
