I would if I could, but I can’t; not a graduate there: but this pernicious evil is large enough to make this a good idea for Notre Dame grads.

Of course, if/when it’s done, you want to ensure that the news wire services know about it and the press is contacted.

I cannot think of a way to send a louder message. Unless, if, of course, you are al arge donor and you pull all of your funding.

No. If I had one, I would never mail it back. There are three important reasons why:

1. A diploma represents my work. It says that I graduated from this university, and I worked for four years to do it.
2. Even if Notre Dame had changed to the point that it does no good in the world, is a force for harm, and can’t ever be redeemed, your diploma would be a sign of what Notre Dame was.
3. It assumes that Notre Dame is absolutely irredeemable, is doing no good now, and never will do any good again.
