Marilena:
Jw’s usually as a rule will not even donate to a jar sitting there.
That would be wordly of them. Would it not? I have never ever
seen or heard of any witness donating in a public jar in a store
or otherwise. No good upstanding JW would ever do it. Simply
ask them why. I have no problem if they donate to a fund, but it is ectremely unheard of. Iam only trying to say here that as former witness, it would be uncharacteristic of any witness to donate to
anything other than the WTB&TS.
Maybe back when you were a Witness and in whatever area you lived in, but I’ve never once found that to be the case. Nothing wrong with helping sick people. . .JWs certainly wouldn’t see it that way.

The only other thing I can tell you is, it is unheard of. Anyone can call the WTB&TS and ask for themselves what they may or may not donate to. people here can ask any JW for themselves. Jw’s don’t vote, don’t celebrate Christmas, birthdays, mothers or fathers day, new years, easter. They celebrate their memorial, and wedding anniversaries. That’s about it. But not the birth of Christ. uh uh. Missing out on quite a bit! 😦 Especially the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Catholic Answers to JW’s on the main site is fascinating!! There is even a book for sale on ebay that you can buy. There is 50 copies of it on Ebay right now, it is excellent! It tells you alot about how we can deal with JW’s here is the link:

Name of the book:

The Catholic Answer To The Jehovah’s Witnesses

It’s odd to me how everytime I think I’m having a perfectly reasonable good conversation on here, it gets turned into “JWs don’t even celebrate Jesus’ birthday” (true, but there is a logical explanation that people hardly ever listen to) and then my favorite “Here’s a great book on how ‘deal with JWs’”

Any particular reason why that has to be brought up in a conversation that has nothing to do with “dealing with” me when we are simply discussing charity work? This is constantly happening.

Well, there are alot of truths that Catholics like to know, and any book that tells it is valuable don’t you think? Charity work is part
of this discussion as it is inline with belief systems, and how witnesses separate thrmselves from “worldy things” I brought up
valid points because Catholics need to know. If they want access
to a book that can help them understand and deal with JW’s,
then they have a right to know. I think it would be great if the WTB&TS would do things differently, like donate MRI’s, CAT and
PET scanners, give the Red Cross money, ext. God says to be charitable. It is our right to do so. Any infoCatholics want to attain is up to them. Iam only including the link because many Catholics have asked me alot of questions because Iam an ex JW, so they want insight, and I can only tell them what I know, and have experienced. Being an ex JW, this is the best I can offer for deep insight. As well, other former JW’s have shared their expereinces with me, it has been quite rewarding to share it with each other. God bless you all 🙂
