Major Canadian paper demands gay-straight clubs in Catholic schools

Wisdomseeker,

I myself have converted gays and lesbians using Myqyl’s approach, and it was certainly a part of my own decision to give up living as a homosexual. I’ll admit, however, that it doesn’t work most of the time.
I’m wondering if you’ve had more success? If so, I’d really like to what methods you’ve used so that I can modify my own approach.

The one thing I’ve noted that this approach does is keep the coversation going. Most anyone, when informed of their sin by someone saying “YOU WILL BURN IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY HEATHEN!” usually are not listening anymore by the end of that sentance. When our sins are shown to us with compassion and understanding, it may not get us to stop sinning, but it’ll get us to think and (hopefully) pray about it.

My gay friends all know that I think they are sinners… But they also know that I am a sinner (because I tell them so) and so is every other human on the planet. We all fall short. But we’re suppose to try and pick each other up, not kick each other.

To throw everything off topic a little bit (ok, it’s on-topic still), I find it funny that they described the Globe and Mail as “a leading Canadian newspaper”. It is definitely a national Canadian newspaper, but it suffers from the same problem as the polar opposite National Post: it’s Ontario and Central Canada-centric (mostly Ontario).

Seriously, ask how many people out West read that. The truth is that they’re a leading paper only in their own mind, full stop.

Yes, yes, yes… I think we *all *here recognize our own sin and realize that a practicing homosexual is one as well. I believe we all accept that we do not persecute or adopt a ‘holier than thou attitude’ than such sinners.

However. I must assert here that we all see the rights of Catholics eroding on perhaps a daily basis. We all see the secular media inundating the general public with an anti Catholic bias and diamterically opposing Gay Rights to Catholic Rights. This is the real issue.

Hey Holley… Go get a life and quit being such a hate monger; you sound alot like this guy I think his name was Dr. Jossef Goebbels. Heard of him ? He was the Minister for Propaganda for the Nazi party, and was at the head of the hate mongering anti-semite movment. Next you’ll tell me that every gay is a child molester, or that they eat babies, and all carry gay membership cards and have secret handshake. Crawl back in your cave.

Regardless don’t spread your hatefull doctrine on to another generation of people. If they don’t want to like a person for one reason or another let them make that choice on their own.
