At home…against an Arizona team that’s minus it’s top two starters…and Kershaw got tagged for four runs…
The Dodgers have won their last 11 of 12, including a sweep of the DBacks on the road. Is that enough yet?

The Dodgers played 5.5 months of phenomenal baseball. They then slumped (hard) for 3.5 weeks before before recovering strongly, yet all some can do is talk smack.

That’s nothing but envy. It’ll be interesting to see if “the tribe” can even get past the Yankees…

Wouldn’t that be 11 of their last 13? Since before last night it was 10 of 12.

Just nitpicking your math … 😛

Go Nats.

It would be nice if they’d win the World Series while Tommy Lasorda and Vin Scully are still around to enjoy the victory.

Tommy Lasorda is still living? That’s amazing.
He turned 90 last month. According to Wikipedia, this year he marked his 68th season with the Dodgers organization, beating Scully by two years.

@MrZoom, next you’ll be telling me Earl Weaver is still on the Baltimore Orioles’ payroll.

Cub-Nationals game postponed.

Today’s odds

Dodgers 9/4
Astros 3/1
Indians 4/1
Cubs 9/2
Yankees 8/1
Nationals 16/1

Nats and Cubs going to game 5.

Strasburg didn’t pitch like he had been sick yesterday. But he had sick stuff - 12 K’s in 7 scoreless innings.

Can the Nats get over the hump and finally advance to the NLCS?

Yes…but in the last 30 games, they are LOSERS!! They’ll be very lucky to survive their first series…
Let’s review…

The Dodgers swept the Diamondbacks.

While the Indians were just eliminated by the Yankees – the team with the worst record in all the play-offs…

I had hoped for a Cleveland - L.A. World Series…it would have been something to see…best of luck to your Dodgers…

Since the wildcard era, rarely has the team with the best record won the WS. As far as the Indians, they only need to figure out how to not lose the last 3 games of a series and to win an elimination game. But I’m still confident. Next yr will be 70 yrs of the longest drought in MLB without a WS title. Quite a story that would make!

Dodgers vs Cubs

A rematch of last year’s pennant series.

Dodgers come in with a stronger squad; Cubs with a weaker one. Bullpen misses Chapman.

Plus Cubs never seem motivated against the Dodgers like they are against the Cardinals or Giants, for example.

So most probably Dodgers vs AL champion. That should be exciting only to some now that Cleveland and Boston are out.
