I am not saying that the water vapor isn;t the greatest contributor to greenhouse gases. I posted the link I did to show that it isn;t 95% as some people like to claim. And to also show how water vapor cannot be the cause of the change. Though it can be a feedback that amplifies the warming.
Hiyas:)

If water vapor is the
greatest contributor to greenhouse gases.
…what role does it play in combination / reaction with CO2?

How does sun spot activity or lack of ] affect this reaction?

I mean, we are shown how much CO2 is the culprit…but it seems to me …we don’t even understand the nuances of water vapor yet.

Is this because we can’t carbon offset water vapor?

Thank you

Hiyas:)

How does polar-shift magnetic fields are a force ] affect Climate Change?

What about electrical-shifts? static discharges etc ].

It seems to me ** much ** has to be left out of the equations…to make; CO2 as the culprit… case.

Yes. I posted what I found out a few posts back. The global warming skeptic iceage site lists several people as experts or scientists in favor of a skeptical view toward global warming. . Upon looking into some of the names, hers’s what I found:
Robert C. Balling Jr -Balling has received $408,000 in research funding from the fossil fuel industry over the last decade (of which his University takes 50% for overhead). Contributors include ExxonMobil, the British Coal Corporation, Cyprus Minerals and OPEC.

Sallie Baliunas – Between December 1998 and September 2001 she was listed as a Scientific Adviser to the Greening Earth Society, a group that was funded and controlled by the Western Fuels Association (WFA), an association of coal-burning utility companies.

Robert M. Carter- Sits on the advisory board os the Institute of Public Affairs which is funded by the mining and tobacco industry along with Monsanto.
Unfortuantely in true pro AGCC fashion you’ve ignored others posts orresponses to your posts.

At least we know that your scientists are squeaky clean. Oh…you’ve ignored posts showing they’re not.

Hi friends,

It’s pretty wild outside. We’ve had over a foot and it’s snow very hard. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 😃 Lots of wind and blowing and drifting. I can’t even see down the block. And these are no city blocks! Four houses to a block!!

God bless

And Joseph D’aleo?

Hi Kimmie,

Not sure about electro-magnetic fields, but you’re right. The variables are almost infinite. That’s why meteorologists struggle with the forecast for 2 days from now. But climate scientists claim to know what’s going to happen in 10 years. Of course, everything they’ve predicted about the end of the world 10 years ago hasn’t come true yet. :D:D:D

It’s CALLED FUZZY MATH

BTW, I didn’t accuse posters of fuzzy math, just the scientists that they follow! 😃

Hiyas Paully,🙂

I think , I could almost argue Climate Change on Polar-shift
Scientists have long known that the magnetic pole moves. James Ross located the pole for the first time in 1831 after an exhausting arctic journey during which his ship got stuck in the ice for four years. No one returned until the next century. In 1904, Roald Amundsen found the pole again and discovered that it had moved–at least 50 km since the days of Ross.
The pole kept going during the 20th century, north at an average speed of 10 km per year, lately accelerating “to 40 km per year,” says Newitt. At this rate it will exit North America and reach Siberia in a few decades.
Keeping track of the north magnetic pole is Newitt’s job. “We usually go out and check its location once every few years,” he says. “We’ll have to make more trips now that it is moving so quickly.”
Earth’s magnetic field is changing in other ways, too: Compass needles in Africa, for instance, are drifting about 1 degree per decade. And globally the magnetic field has weakened 10% since the 19th century.
They’ve also learned what happens during a magnetic flip. Reversals take a few thousand years to complete, and during that time–contrary to popular belief–the magnetic field does not vanish. “It just gets more complicated,” says Glatzmaier. Magnetic lines of force near Earth’s surface become twisted and tangled, and magnetic poles pop up in unaccustomed places. A south magnetic pole might emerge over Africa, for instance, or a north pole over Tahiti. Weird. But it’s still a planetary magnetic field, and it still protects us from space radiation and solar storms.
And, as a bonus, Tahiti could be a great place to see the Northern Lights. In such a time, Larry Newitt’s job would be different. Instead of shivering in Resolute Bay, he could enjoy the warm South Pacific, hopping from island to island, hunting for magnetic poles while auroras danced overhead.
Sometimes, maybe, a little change can be a good thing.
AND I haven’t heard one AGCC person address it.

Kimmie, if you want to see how hard it’s snowing, check out the webcam at tmlp.com. You can’t see much though. It’s all white. 😃

While we debate data and false data:

“…The head of the UN’s climate change panel - Dr Rajendra Pachauri - is accused of making a fortune from his links with ‘carbon trading’ companies…”
That is hilarious. Let’s here it for the UN and IPCC. And all their littttttle followers. Remember though, it’s okay if it is AGCC wacko’s (not referring to posters) doing the lying, cheating, stealing, misleading, criminal actions.

Come on AGCC proponents. I know you’re going to come up with a way to defend this. I can’t wait to hear it.

The magnetic field now has a “hole” over Brazil. Not like the “ozone hole” however, which doesn’t really exist, since at the poles the ozone is more dense than at the equator.

But I digress.

[Are you sure that this ain’t the script from “Lost”?]

You see paully - this is the kind of post that makes me throw my towel in — you accuse people of ignoring links, and use such outrageous comments about the scientists that you disagree with - calling those who do “littttttle followers”— there is NO point in defending the impact of man’s activity on the climate because you have already decided that there is none* (and there have been so many links offered already - feel free to go back and read them IF you are really interested) * ----- and anything posted will be ignored, disputed, vilified, ---- your teacher disagrees - great - you go on listening to your teacher,

Everyone go on patting each other on the back, 'You are right!" “They are wrong!”

At the risk of being accused of ‘using’ the Church (and the Church of being duped) - the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change is where I prefer to take my lead catholicclimatecovenant.org/ - catholicsandclimatechange.org/ -

The Vatican’s efforts to become carbon neutral: catholicnewsagency.com/news/vatican_announces_plans_to_become_first_carbon_neutral_state_in_the_world/
Guess then IF it doesn’t matter… the Vatican is wasting their time too.

I for one will go on trying to take the personal action I can.

Blessings,

So you think that these global warming skeptics who accept thousands of dollars from the oil industry polluters are unbiased and credible?
Fuzzy math:

$400,000 x 1/2 over 10 years is more than Al Gore’s $100,000,000.

[Say: how much was it that Al Gore, Jr & Sr, collected from Occidental Petroleum and Armand Hammer and the Soviets?]

From WinterWH…from way back in the beginning of this thread.

I spent some of my travel time compiling comments:

From the beginning of this debate a few years ago, the fact that flawed data was being used, was evident to a lot of us non-professionals. Then followed the tasking of the original hockey stick data scientists to head the verification of this data. You got to be kidding. That fact alone should have been a warning that this was a scientific scam. arg

This fellow Briffa used a thin sample of only ten (10) trees for the recent years which showed the hockey-stick jump, and it was inconsistent for those years with numerous other tree cores from nearby which were available but not included. To top it off, one tree in particular, YAD061, showed a huge jump which while most of the others in Briffa’s ten-tree sample don’t show a hockey stick at all. YAD061 skewed the results for the already-small sample and is, thus, as McIntyre put it, “the most influential tree in the world.”

Briffa refused to release his work’s underlying data for 10 years, until compelled to do so by the Royal Society which had published a paper of his which used that data.

Consider what the enviros tried to do to Bjørn Lomborg. Will there be an accounting?

The Medieval Warming, and Little Ice Age, used to be taught in high school. Mann is relying on the general ignorance of a population, educated in government schools.

In the Little House on the Prairie books, blizzards in May, in Dakota, are mentioned.

The dendochronology scam underlying the “hockey stick” should come as no big surprise.

There is no legitimate data underlying the connection with global warming with human activity.

Check out the various US government websites touting AGW. Every one cites IPCC as the basis for it’s position.

Every single government grant has been awarded on a “find AGW” basis.

The computer models were written by pro AGW “scientists” for the purpose of proving AGW and source code is not available to critics

Raw data is “not available.”

Funding for critical researchers is “not available.”

Dissent from within government is grounds for termination or transfer to menial positions.

Anyone see a pattern?

People write fictions, it is published in book forms and they make profits legally. They may even get the Nobel Prize. It affects some people in a good way.

In Nigeria some people devised a scam and also a fiction, called 409 by their Government. It’s illegal and punishable by the law. It affects some people in a bad way.

Some high profile people devise an improved version of it on a Global scale called Climate Change (more like “409 Trillion exchange” but in this form not very appealing) also a fiction but it has a “flaw”. To correct the flaw they make it a law and implement it worldwide. It will affect every human being, animal and even plants on the face of Earth but it won’t affect the climate. It is also made into a movie and got the Nobel Prize.

I have been probing the arguments for global warming for well over a decade. In collaboration with a lot of excellent coauthors I have consistently found that when the layers get peeled back, what lies at the core is either flawed, misleading or simply non-existent…Climate models are in gross disagreement with observations, and the discrepancy is growing with each passing year.

In short, evidence is deeply flawed or non-existent.

The IPCC review process, of which I was a member last time, is nothing at all like what the public has been told: Conflicts of interest are endemic, critical evidence is systematically ignored and there are no effective checks and balances against bias or distortion.

In short, we’ve been deliberately and maliciously lied to again.

Over the coming few years, as the costs of global warming policies mount and the evidence of a crisis continues to collapse, perhaps it will become socially permissible for people to start thinking for themselves again.

Not if public schools and junk science continue to give Americans information. Don’t count on it. Liberals don’t like thinking for themselves.

The Global Warming fiasco is based on the reverse proof. That is, the claim is that man made global warming is a fact. Rather than building a firm foundation of real data to prove their assertion, they turn the tables. It becomes a “do you still beat your wife?” question. The true believers demand that skeptics prove that man made global warming is not happening.

As anyone knows it is nearly impossible to prove the negative. They are winning with lies, half-truths, and political power.

This was never about science nor helping folks nor Mother earth - it has always been about power, money and control.

Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it “will dramatically increase the prospects for success” in combating what he sees as the “crisis” of man-made global warming.

“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.” (Editor’s Note: Gore makes the “global governance” comment at the 1min. 10 sec. mark in this UK Times video.)

Gore’s call for “global governance” echoes former French President Jacques Chirac’s call in 2000.

On November 20, 2000, then French President Chirac said during a speech at The Hague that the UN’s Kyoto Protocol represented “the first component of an authentic global governance.” @ campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=21632#

Who cares about facts with this at stake.

Hiyas:)

Thanks for the link.
I have had concerns over Yale and UCLA in the past. Some stuff just didn’t seem right, to me.
Maybe, this is the reason.?

If I was in Congress, I’d be the first to write a bill…for 1 complete investigation [including financial ] and 2 A hold on ALL funds given the UN under Climate Change.

IMHO-
It isn’t who’s right or wrong about environmental issues.

It is about who’s been driving fear and why.

Kids have been watching results of COP15 …ICPP…Did you know in all this beautiful world…not one article addressed a positive? Surely, we are doing something positive environmentally. …i.e,

4elsie and others are Veg’s.

Since I was a little girl, my big brother an me plant and tend between 90 and 120 new trees a year - each. I think we have done it about 6 years now…maybe 7. We don’t get the saplings free but sometimes you can get extras if you buy enough of one species ].

Many people ARE environmentalists.

We saw none of the good …people are doing:confused::confused:
Could it be…cause…they don’t make money off of what we do?
