Making a consecration to a saint

Does anyone know anything about this practice? I did a consecration to Mary but I never heard about consecrating yourself to a saint until recently.
Is it possible for a person who is already consecrated to Mary to make a consecration to a saint?
 
Why would it not be?
Are we not to respect all Saints?
 
Because when you consecrate yourself to Mary you give yourself and all that you possess entirely to Her and I´m not sure if it is possible to do this twice but I´m not sure if I see this clearly.

But these are not mutually exclusive nor are they directed toward diametrically opposed objectives or destinations.

One could make the act of consecration to the Blessed Virgin using, for example, the formula of Saint Louis de Montfort. or Saint Maximilian Kolbe. One could consecrate oneself to Saint Joseph.

In terms of dedication and service to Mary’s unique role in salvation history, Joseph held a unique place. Who would be a better example of devoting one’s who life to Mary and her interests than her own husband? Who would be more interested in the blossoming of the Marian spirituality to which you are called bearing abundant fruit in your life than the husband of Mary?

The two consecrations would be mutually enriching…not in conflict – as though the heavenly interests of Mary and Joseph are somehow in competition or opposition.
