Making an alb

Amen! The next parish over used to wear red cassocks on special occasions, and I used to think they looked so cool. At the parish where I served, we always wore black.

This was back in the 70’s, and I haven’t been back to my old parish in almost 20 years. So I don’t know what they do today.

Our last pastor did away with Albs for the altar servers. Our present pastor has kept with the tradition of cassock and surplice and has added red cassocks for special feast days.
