Making the sign of the cross with holy water

When coming into the church I pause to dip a finger into holy water and make the sign of the cross.
Is there prayer to go with this?
 
Just say, “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”
 
under “sign of the cross” in my missal, it says this:

In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

By the sign of the cross
deliver us from our enemies
you who are our God

In the name…

You could also do the Benedictine exorcism prayer:

May the holy cross be to me light
May the devil not be my guide

Go behind me, Satan
Do not suggest to me vain things

They are evil the things you offer
You yourself drink the poison.

The prayer is:
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
 
You could also add, “I am baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” And to really heighten your experience in the Mass recall baptism in the River Jordan.

I don’t know how long I’ve been using this prayer or where I learned it, but it has been my prayer for many years. “May this holy water and the Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ bring me to everlasting life.”. 🙂
