Help! She’s back, and very aggressive again. She woke me up repeatedly last night AND this morning. Keep in mind I wear earplugs now because of her (for the past 3 months +) and use a noise-canceling device, as well as have a box fan near my bed. She was really loud to get through this, and repeatedly. Slamming things against walls, doors, etc. And this is knowing that being woken up hurts my health and that I have health problems.

I think the devil is using this young woman. There has to be some real evil there for her to be doing this. Most people would not do things that they know can hurt someone’s health, even if they hate the person. I put a St. Benedict crucifix in a key place in the house, as well threw some more holy water and blessed salt into her room. Please pray that God keep this person far from me, that she leaves me alone, and that I continue to have the strength and grace to handle this. Please pray that she just move back with her family for all intents and purposes and this trouble simply stops.

Thank you all, and God bless. I’m keeping all of you in my rosary and Mass intentions.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Sorry to post here again, but thanks for your prayers. I’ve had to return early from the retreat, and for some reason she was immediately trying to provoke me again. But it looks like we’ve found a good new roommate, and this troublemaker should be gone by the end of next month.

The retreat did not go well at all, though. It turned out there were really weird things going on in that place, and I kept getting more and more freaked out. Finally, I learned that I wasn’t overreacting to the strangeness: they were into some very suspicious practices. At that point, I left. So now I’m off-balance spiritually, too. I can’t wait for confession, and am thinking of making an appointment with a priest.

Please keep all this in your prayers. I’m really sorry to keep posting here, and I’m trying to do everything in my power to resolve this situation, but it seems like my attempts to make matters better are only making them worse.

I’m sorry the retreat didn’t go well. Was it a church retreat, or something else?

I’m glad that the situation will resolve itself soon. Sometimes just knowing there’s light at the end of the tunnel can make the rest of the wait bearable.

Do you want to tell us what practices upset you? Or put it in a PM? What kind of retreat was it? Glad you have a new roommate waiting in the wings. Praying for you.

Yes, knowing a new roommate is in the offing certainly helps. She seems nice, too, whereas I immediately got the sense from the current one that she wasn’t very nice, but at that point, my other roommate was set on her, and she could start acting nice when it suited her - just long enough, and no longer.

Yes, I’m still a little upset about the retreat, but thankfully, God is helping me slowly find my balance again. Thanks for the prayers - I’ve been praying non-stop. The place spooked me.

AKDee, it wasn’t at a church, but an old, abandoned monastery. I later found out it had been founded by heretics, and currently, there was NO monastic life there at all - no monks, no nuns, just lay people who believe and do weird stuff.

Mary Estelle, I didn’t mean to be evasive about the disturbing practices exactly, it’s just that I’m still unsettled about it, and I didn’t want to get into any sort of doctrinal argument in case someone decided to come along and pick a fight. Unfortunately, the Church is filled with people into odd things these days. Not too long ago, a woman from my parish got involved in a “Catholic” cult in Ireland. Her friends were worried about her, trying to show her what the Church said, but she just wouldn’t listen. I only spoke to her personally once after that, and I remember how carried away she was by the excitement of being involved in something “important” that made her feel so good. Unfortunately, that’s all too common - it’s human nature to enjoy living in a state of heightened stimulation, and to resist truths which would end that joy ride. These people at the “monastery” were like that, too, but this situation was far worse - downright freaky.

Sorry, but I don’t feel comfortable getting into specifics right now. Hopefully, this rollercoaster that my life has turned into will end soon when this troublemaker moves out. If it hadn’t been for her, I wouldn’t have left home in headlong flight seeking refuge and peace anyway. Well, peace certainly wasn’t what I found. May God lead me now to the secure refuge of His Heart - and keep me there, no matter what happens.
