Mama of a priest?

My son who is 16 feels a calling to the Priesthood!
I am so excited and what is cool is he loves the Latin Mass although they don’t offer it close to our home so we don’t get to go very often.He loves the reverant NO Mass that we attend every week also. Please pray for his vocation his name is Alex. He has felt this since we started going to Mass a few years ago. I converted through RCIA at Easter Vigil 2007 which is when he received his 1st communion and my daughter was baptised and received 1st communion also. Wouldn’t it be cool the be the Mama of a priest 🙂
I had him when I was only 18. Thank God I chose life!
Also he is very into the pro life movement!
Life is a beautiful choice and should be the only choice!

It is wonderful that you support your son’s vocation! Not all mothers would be so open.

Congratulations, and I’ll pray for his vocation as well. I heard from a very holy priest once that if a man spends an hour a day before the Blessed Sacrament, he will never loose his vocation.

Also, your son may like (but don’t let him read it if it’ll put too much pressure on him):

If the priest is a saint, his people will be holy.
If the priest is holy, his people will be good.
If the priest is good, his people will be fair.
If the priest is fair, his people will be mediocre.
If the priest is mediocre, his people will be bad. : -Anon.
 
To be a mother of a priest… now that is special! 🙂 The Lord is at work!

This reminds me of Don Bosco’s mother. 🙂
 
Wow, congrats and may God bless you and your family. God knows we need many more priests and clergy. You and your family are in my prayers.
 
👍 Hi CatholicMom… I will be fully converted on Holy Saturday, and although I am a bit old to be called to Holy Orders… I truely pray for your son’s dreams of being a Priest and serving our Faith with happiness and determination. Wouldn’t it be great if he became the first American to become Pope. May Jesus watch over him in his quest, and his guardian Angel help him in his studies. :blessyou::highprayer::gopray2:

Thanks so much for all your prayers everyone and all your excitement. As far as supporting my son I know not all parents would want their kids to go into vocaitons but I am super excited and there is no better calling 🙂

Fr Eric Weisman didn’t find his vocation until his late fourties… after his wife died! Don’t be so certain that age is a barrier!

My daughter is not sure what she wants to do…I think she wants to be the queen of England last I checked 😉
 
QUEEN OF ENGLAND ??? :clapping: well at least she has NOBLE dreams !!! Just tell her to be herself, and God will let her know His purpose in life for her !!! :gopray2:
