…and accepting of every behavior. That is an obviously mistaken belief. Either they didn’t read the bible or they didn’t understand it.

Jesus was very critical and upset many people who were chastised by him. Ultimately, they executed Jesus for challenging them.

The modern world has a warped view that all behavior is acceptable and that morality is up to the individual.

Your thoughts?

Ignorance of scripture is one thing but will add one other group those who have read or heard the message but turn their backs on for a variety of reasons which probably has something to do with the root cause being their pride something we all suffer from, true Jesus didn’t tolerate sin who asks us to change but sometimes this isn’t always preached there’s a lot of PC in pulpits so perhaps we are to blame partly for the confusion.jesus was direct he said go and sin no more but also he without sin cast the first stone. So yes Jesus is the way and yes the world has not got the message.

That said faith is a gift which needs praying for so I don’t want to come across that the world can change simply by reading the Bible, I need more faith.

Matthew 10
34 Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. 35 For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And as a man’s enemies shall be they of his own household.
Matthew 23
36 Amen I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation. 37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not? 38 Behold, your house shall be left to you, desolate. 39 For I say to you, you shall not see me henceforth till you say: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Christ is patient, kind, long-suffering.
Christ is not tolerant in our current sense. Christ is not indifferent to the truth. Christ does not consider the individual as the source of morality or truth.
Christ asks for pointed decisions for or against him.

Christ has no tolerance for sin, yet he is patient in calling back the sinner.

No, it doesn’t.
It holds that any sexual behavior is acceptable.
