Many, too many, will be alone for the Holidays; Please pray for them

I will be alone; I understand this well and it’s heartbreaking that so many others will be alone as well.
Please pray for them.

I feel you.

O Lord, You never abandon Your people through trials, grant, I beseech You, that those who are alone and isolated and marginalized this Holiday season would be granted comfort and that You would send forth Your Holy Spirit to visit their hearts and bring them true joy, and that those who mock such people would stir Your unfathomable wrath, and let I may never be party another’s injustice, but, as one of their liberators, show Your light upon them. Through Jesus Christ, My Lord. Amen
 
Loving God,
there are times in each life
when there is no one.
No one with whom to share
a word,
a laugh,
a sad remembrance,
a gentle touch,
a fond embrace,
a kiss of love.
Bless each one who suffers
from such loneliness.
Enrich life with a friend
or gentle stranger
who will spend a moment
noticing
and loving.
In those times
your love shines through,
the world is reborn,
and Christ is known.

May the Divine love of Christ spread like warmth through these peoples lives each and everyday they feel alone. Amen.
 
The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are a time of so much joy, that many of us forget that it is also a great source of loneliness and sadness for many of our brothers and sisters. I pour my heart out in prayer for you, and for everybody who is alone during this time and any other time.

Holy God, you stilled the Universe to create us.
You know our every thought,
our every move,
our every feature and nuance,
and You love us more than we could possibly imagine.
Grant that we may look to You for comfort,
Like a papa with his child on his chest let us come to you.

You are so right, we must try to help and support those, such as yourself, who will be alone and lonely while we are with our family and friends. I would give any thing to be able to welcome some of you into my home but I will have you in my heart and prayers.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I will be too will be alone on Christmas.

I too will be alone this Christmas. Dread December rolling round again :sad_yes:
 
Holy Father as we move into Advent, I pray that all the people who will be alone this Christmas will feel your loving presence move away any stirrings of loneliness. Please grant those alone, the special blessing of feeling your loving presence sitting besides them. Also, help us to keep an open heart and a welcoming place at our table so that we may welcome the soul that You send to enrich our celebration of the birth of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
 
I know how it feels, Cheezey. 😦 I’ll be sure to pray for all us lonely people over the holidays. 🙂

You are not alone, God is with you and your Guardian Angel is with you.

I have been there myself, when I was young.

PRAYER IN TIME
OF LONELINESS.

Dear Lord!
Make me remember,
when the world seems cold and dreary
and I know not where to turn for comfort,
that there is always one spot bright and cheerful,
the Sanctuary.
When I am in desolation of spirit,
when all who are dear to me have passed away
like summer flowers
and none are left to love me and care for me,
whisper to my troubled soul
that there is one Friend who dies not,
one who’s Love never changes
Jesus on the altar.
When sorrow thicken and crush me with their burden,
when I look in vain for comfort,
let me remember Your words:
“Come to Me,
all you who labor and are heavily burdened,
and I will refresh you.”
