Mar 22 - Wk 3, Day 5 - seeking to know Jesus better

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In seeking to understand Jesus better, I’d like to share something I read from the book, “Calls” from the Message of Fatima in which Sister Lucia of Fatima shares these thoughts on Jesus and Mary:

…It is the body received from Mary that in Christ becomes a victim for the salvation of mankind. It is the blood received from Mary that circulates in Christ’s veins and which pours out from His Divine Heart; it is the same body and blood received from Mary that are given to us under the appearances of bread and wine as our daily food to strengthen within us the life of grace and so continue in us, members of the Mystical Body of Christ, His redemptive work for the salvation of each and all to the extent in which each one clings to Christ and cooperates with Christ…

2017 is the 100th Anniversary of Mary’s Apparitions at Fatima. The quote above was taken from the last book written by Sister Lucia (the oldest of the three shepherd children to whom Mary appeared). Let us pray fervently with Mary and all the saints, as we seek to understand Jesus better. Jesus gave Mary to us that we might become more and more united with Him as she was on this earth and is now in heaven.

May we, like Sister Lucia of Fatima, St. Louis de Montfort and all the saints who have gone before us, cling to Jesus and cooperate with Him to continue His work in us and others today, by the power of His Holy Spirit, through Mary. Jesus, we cling to You. Jesus we trust in You. Without You we can do nothing.
