Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today we continue to ponder the “Act of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” written by St. Louis De Montfort.

Yesterday, I was so awestruck by the first sentence in the heart – the “crux” as I called it – of the entire Prayer of Consecration, I could not go further than that one sentence to ponder. Hopefully you were likewise blessed in “seeing by faith” the beauty of Mary, our Mother and Model for the Church – Mother and Model for all of us, called to holiness! By baptism, each soul is made to be a new creation, and like Mary to become a:
…living tabernacle of the Divinity,
So today we continue addressing her in the prayer, pondering the words, further:
…Hail, O Queen of Heaven and earth, to whose empire everything is subject which is under God. Hail, O sure refuge of sinners, whose mercy fails no one. Hear the desires which I have of the Divine Wisdom and for that end receive the vows and offerings which in my lowliness I present to thee.

I, ________________, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
We renew our Baptismal vows, – for we know we have not always been faithful – and we renounce forever satan in order to give ourselves entirely to Jesus and what will we do beyond mere words? We promise to : “carry my cross after Him, all the days of my life and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.” Much to ponder under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, trusting Not in ourselves, but in Jesus through Mary, for we have heard Jesus tell us: “Without Me, you can do nothing”. Let us remain in Him as Mary did on this earth, and as she continues to do in heaven.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful. Enable us to hear the wisdom you shared with St. Louis de Montfort in writing this prayer so that the Church might grow in love for Jesus through Mary. By the Grace of God may we ponder the words in order to LIVE Jesus, the Word Incarnate.

O Jesus living in Mary, come and live in your servants! Mary, Mothr and Model for the Church pray for us. St. Joseph pray for us.

Thanks Stephie,

Your “faithful heart” is always an encouragement. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us as we Listen to the words of St. Louis de Montfort’s “Act of Total Consecration to the Blessed Virgin”.

In pondering the words of this prayer I have found much more to be grateful for as well as much more to seek in prayer. Hopefully, you and others have also been blessed, as God continues to work Good. (cf Rom 8:28)
