How many participated in the March?
Why was it not mentioned, even briefly, on any of the news stations?

wordWith fifty million skeletons in the closet, they don’t even want to acknowledge that the closet exists.
well said,… Such a shame that the medial is very much under the control of the liberals… : (word
and who can blame them? it is similar to the holocaust. once we admit that it is wrong to murder babies then as a nation we are responsible for the worst crime against humanity this world has ever seen.
I really don’t think we should compare abortion to the holocaust. It does more harm than good for the pro life movement.word

This question comes up every year, because every year the situation is the same. What I have read in the past is that the national news media tend to ignore annual marches (as compared to a one time march) as “old news.” Most coverage will come from local news media reporting the participation of area residents. Since local news media seem to prefer covering the march before it happens (rather than afterwords) perhaps one strategy is for local groups to approach the newspapers and TV news stations in their area so that these local news outlets can interview participants and run a story ahead of the march. Why was it not mentioned, even briefly, on any of the news stations?

Really?? Describe to me in what ways it is unlike the holocaust. The only differences I see are the location and the groups of people targeted.I really don’t think we should compare abortion to the holocaust. It does more harm than good for the pro life movement.
It’s really funny (not haha- funny) how if there are a dozen, or so, people gathered in protest outside a puppy mill, the news is all over it like stink-on-dog pooh. But when hundreds of thousands gather for the unborn in Washington every year on January 22nd, the news channels cower in the corner and hide like a plague will befall them if they even think of mentioning the March. How many participated in the March?

The word “holocaust” was around long before the holocaust of WWII. The definition of holocaust is great destruction resulting in an extensive loss of life, especially by genocide. I think abortion qualifies.I really don’t think we should compare abortion to the holocaust. It does more harm than good for the pro life movement.
…and still counting!oh yeah and the holocaust resulted in a much lower death count- about 1/5 that of the number of abortions in America since Roe v Wade
Abortion certainly qualifies, that is not the point. The point is, does it help or hurt the pro-life cause. The term, since the late 70s is used almost exclusively to define the attempted extermination of Jews during WWII. There are two sides to the question, I am undecided. On one hand, the horror of abortion should not be understated. On the other hand, not everyone recognizes that level of horror now, we need an different cultural shift in the thinking of society on abortion. If we “turn people off”, such as the Jews, for using a term they consider unique to them, it becomes more difficult to reach them in the future. The word “holocaust” was around long before the holocaust of WWII. What on earth are you talking about? It IS a holocaust! How can the truth hurt the pro-life cause? The truth is the truth. Your question is bizzare.Abortion certainly qualifies, that is not the point. The point is, does it help or hurt the pro-life cause. I have to disagree with you. Those people who don’t recognize the level of horror on abortion need to know that it is a holocaust. I believe it does all those who suffered and died during any holocaust in history to deny that this is infact a holocost. By calling anything else we are doing a huge disfavor to those children who are dying by the hundreds everyday. We need to stop hiding from the PC police and start stating facts. Can you not read, I said that abortion certainly qualifies as a holocaust. What on earth are you talking about? It IS a holocaust! How can the truth hurt the pro-life cause? The truth is the truth. Your question is bizzare.
I’m sure when Jesus walked the earth, His truth pricked many consciences and “hurt” people and turned them off. He told the truth anyway.
Can you not read, I said I was undecided on the matter. So how can you disagree with my position on the matter, since I don’t have one.I have to disagree with you. Yes, but you asked whether the term “holocaust” was doing harm to the pro-life cause. Hence, my answer. Can you not read, I said that abortion certainly qualifies as a holocaust.
