March, the Month of St. Joseph - Holy Cloak Novena

It’s St. Joseph month. Usually I just say an extra prayer to St. Joseph every day in March but I thought maybe this month I would try saying the Holy Cloak Novena to St. Joseph. It’s 30 days long and I don’t know how much of it I will manage to get through but they say if you miss days you can make them all up on day 30. I will try not to miss because it’s a really long (Like 20 minutes long) prayer.

Anybody else doing this prayer this year?

I love St. Joseph. He has been a great comfort to me during times of sadness. I’ve done the Holy Cloak novena before, but never during March.

Count me in on joining the novena today through the 31!

I will be offline for a while and not able to bump this thread, so someone else can do it if they want, as we all continue praying to St. Joseph.

I didn’t forget about this novena, but for reasons that I anticipated (a very crowded schedule for slightly over a week), I missed some days of the novena and was not able to bump the thread.
The novena “rules” say that one can make up missed days on the last day; however, since private devotions do not have “rules” (unless pertaining to an indulgence, which doesn’t apply here) I will be making up missed days as I go along rather than trying to do a bunch at once on the final day.

Today was day 18 of the Holy Cloak Novena.
St. Joseph, pray for us.

Today was Day 23 of my St. Joseph’s Holy Cloak Novena. I have also made up about half the missed days that I needed to make up.

I am planning to start my Consecration to St. Joseph using Fr. Calloway’s book on March 30 so this will overlap by one day.
St. Joseph, pray for us!

Through the grace of God and with the help of St. Joseph (and probably Mother Mary too) I managed to finish the whole Holy Cloak novena just a few minutes before midnight on Day 30 (March 31).
This included making up days that I missed due to having a large interruption to my regular prayers in the middle of the month.

I am also 2 days into my Consecration to St. Joseph that I started on March 30. I must say that after a month of saying these long Holy Cloak prayers, the consecration preparation doesn’t take long and is rather easy actually.

I hope everyone else was able to get in some extra prayers to St. Joseph during March. We really need his help along with Mother Mary’s if we’re going to beat this COVID thing and all the obstacles it brings (which I didn’t foresee when I started the Holy Cloak novena on March 2). Ite Ad Joseph!
