Anyone knows her? I only got news from local church that there was a woman named “Maria Divine Mercy” who claimed to have private revelations and visionary, but our local church now forbids anyone to spread any messages from her, as the Catholic Church disapproved of her.

She always spread her experience on internet and published her own books.

Is what she said true or not? any idea?

I did not read all her messages, but one of most I disagreed with is that she said Pope Francis is a false one.

but why did she do these? I guess she had done all these in order to earn money?

Hi shani,

This blog has the answers to your questions:

mariadivinemercytrueorfalse.blogspot.com/p/bishops-on-mdm.html

If the bishop says, “no,” then it’s “no.” 😃

As far as the “Why?” I can’t look into her heart but out of charity I will say that she is misguided, either internally by a vice or mental illness, or externally, which would be demonic in nature.

She may believe what she says is true, but it is up to the bishop to approve or not. If she is charging for any of this, then that is a big red flag for all concerned.

Through Sister Faustina we were given the Divine Mercy devotion, and this is approved. It is always best to go with the approved private revelations. Obedience to our bishop is very important.

She has been investigated by the Church and her messages are declared to be false.

😉 Jimmy Akin has written an article challenging the truthfulness of Maria Divine Mercy.

There are abundant reasons not to trust Maria Divine Mercy’s claims.

One of them is that she operates anonymously. This does not fit the pattern of authentic visionaries, who have been willing to undergo criticism and even persecution for the sake of their visions.

“Maria Divine Mercy,” by contrast, apparently lives a normal life that she keeps partitioned off from her secret life, in which she uses the Internet to spread her messages (and sell her books).

Yet her secret life is so important that God himself has told her that she is “the 7th Messenger, the 7th Angel sent to reveal to the world the contents of the Seals in the Book of Revelation” and that “she is the end time prophet.”

Really?

After all the prophets and visionaries of history who operated with people knowing their identities, with them and their families facing the consequences of delivering God’s message, God wants “the end time prophet” to operate safely and anonymously from the comfort of her living room, using an Internet connection to maintain her privacy?

(Also, what is this “7th Messenger,” “7th Angel” business? Who were the previous six? And humans aren’t the same kind of creatures as angels.)

There are also abundant reasons not to trust her prophecies.

:hmmm: In 2013, The mysterious lady prophet has claimed that pope Benedict, the current pope at that time, will step down from papal authority as a direct result of a satanic conspiracy, and the next pope, now pope Francis, is the “false prophet”, who will strive to corrupt the Church by supporting heresy.

The above article links to her official website.

:hmmm: I call Maria Divine Mercy mysterious because no one has seen her face.

Well, saying Pope Francis is a false Pope tells you everything you need to know about whether her message is true. We should pray for her. 😦

I think St. Paul’s words are also relevant here as they have always been. “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, If any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed.”

I know personally some people who are very convinced of these writings, I also understand why others are very denouncing of them, as they do speak against Pope Francis and have some pretty big claims (some of which will be easily revealed true or false in a short period of time if your aware of them) true/false? I believe very soon we will see clearly the truth or falsity of these writings.

My advice would be to keep an open mind, read some of the prophecies and writings before you condemn them and give it about half a year to a year and I believe it will become pretty clear whether they are from Christ or not.

This is my rule of thumb -
The Acts of the Apostles:
The Apostles Are Persecuted

34 But a Pharisee in the council named Gama′li-el, a teacher of the law, held in honor by all the people, stood up and ordered the men to be put outside for a while. 35 And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you do with these men. 36 For before these days Theu′das arose, giving himself out to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him; but he was slain and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37 After him Judas the Galilean arose in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him; he also perished, and all who followed him were scattered. 38 So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this undertaking is of men, it will fail; 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”
I hope this has helped

God Bless

Thank you for reading

You seem to be missing the fact that the Church has done its investigations into her and her messages are officially declared to be false by the Bishops. That means Catholics may not believe them and must obey the Church.

Excellent post.

The Church has said they are false. She has been revealed as an utter fraud with possible connections to the Little Pebble cult midwaystreet.wordpress.com/

Maria Divine Mercy herself used to post on an Internet ‘Mother of God’ forum here

She writes there:
*The Warning is going to take place within a few months now. So prepare all of you. These are the words of Jesus Christ. so I would ask you to humbly pray before you pull his most Holy Word apart.

Prophecies revealed to me are already happening. The Catholic Church were given all these details in advance. The earthquake in Spain and Volcano eruption in Iceland happened exactly as I was told. Three world leaders - one from mainland Europe and two from the middle east will be killed within a month. *

The date of the post is June 1, 2011.

** “And if you say in your heart,’ How may we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ – when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is the word which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18:21-22)**

It’s not our decision; if her claims have been investigated by the local bishop and he determined that they are false and not in accordance with Church teaching, then we are to ignore her alleged revelations.
