So we all know about the claims of our Blessed Mother appearing to individuals. But I have a question, where there ever saints that appeared to someone? Like a St. Joseph or St. Peter apparition?

Actually, there are many, many apparitions that involve JESUS appearing to people (one of the most recent --20th century) approved being to St. Faustina (Divine Mercy).

Many of the angels and saints, like St. Michael, were HEARD by St. Joan of Arc.

So your answer is yes; there have been apparitions of Mary, the saints, and Christ Himself to people.

Yes. In the Apparition of Our Lady… at Knock, Ireland… St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist also appeared (St. John was dressed as a Bishop, and holding a book… presumably, the Gospel of John).

St. Michael the Archangel has reportedly appeared, at many times in history.

And I know of several accounts of St. Therese of Lisieux appearing in visions. At least one of these, is recorded in the epilogue of “The Story of a Soul”. Several years after her death, she appeared to another Carmelite nun, (I believe in one of the Latin American countries) and was mistaken for St. Teresa of Avila. When thus mistaken… St. Therese replied:

“I am Soeur Therese of Lisieux”.

Visions of saints, certainly have been reported. God bless.

I believe St. Agatha appeared to St. Lucy.

St. Barbara appeared to St. Stanislaus.

St. Joan of Arc heard the voices of St. Michael, St. Margaret of Antioch and St. Catherine of Alexandria.

St. John the Apostle appeared to St. Gertrude and St. Margaret Mary.

St. Vincent de Paul appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in a dream.

There are many, many more.

There does appear to be more Marian apparitions than Saint apparitions though.

In fact, one of the reasons I don’t believe strongly in Marian apparitions is because there are that many reported. I think a lot of them are hoaxes. There are literally thousands of reported cases; although it has to be said that the Church has not approved the vast majority of them.

The only ones I believe are: Lourdes, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Fatima. I would also consider Our Lady of Walsingham, although I am not sure of that.

I regard the apparition at Medjugorje as a satanic falsehood.

👍 You may also remember the appearance of St. Anne to St. Therese, as she reports in her Story, but says it was a dream. My, what a special dream!

Speaking of St. Teresa of Avila, she was friends in life with St. Peter of Alcantara. After he died, he appeared to her a number of times and helped her with her work on the foundations.

I just remembered another incident. St. Gemma was having difficulty entering a convent, having been rejected due to her frail health. St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother (Francis Possenti) appeared to her and told her to enter the order of Passionists, the same as St. Gabriel, which she did.

While she lived, she had many appearances from her guardian angel whom she once asked to deliver an important handwritten message to her confessor. No need for a mailman when you have angels, huh?
