I have a question about Marie Rose Ferron. This is a liturgical question, hence why it is in this forum. In short, Marie Rose Ferron was a Rhode Islander who died in 1936 at the age of 33, she was also a stigmatist and a victim soul for her current Bishop(Bishop Hickey, I believe). When she died, investigations began for the cause of canonization. This investigations were suspended by Bishop McVinney, a man who was only ordained a priest a few years before her death. My question to you is: Can the current Bishop of Rhode Island reopen the cause for her canonization?

Yes, I believe he can. A Bishop cannot bind a future Bishop on disciplinary matters.
