Marital life after a vasectomy?

My wife had a hard time delivering babies. The third child delivery almost killed both my wife and child. I had a vasectomy following that delivery out of fear of losing her. I have since realized that wasn’t a good reason to have one. I have confessed the vasectomy and have been absolved. I am wondering is it ok to have sex now or should we be celibate for the rest of our lives. I don’t want to add more sins on top of the one I already commited. I am willing to give it up for what I have done but she is not.

You have recognized that what you did was wrong and have repented and confessed it. That is all that is required of you by the Church. You are under no obligation to undergo costly or risky surgery. You are free to resume marital relations.
