Have you ever wondered why protestants, especially Pentecostals, seem to find that speaking in tongues seems more edifying to them as a Christian than it does to do works of mercy? That’s been my observation at least. In fact they will often fight to the teeth that works of mercy isn’t required of any Christian, when most of what Jesus did on earth was works of mercy. Did you ever see Jesus speaking in tongue and saying this is what you should do as a Christian? Jesus did say we must take care of our poor as a Christian though. So who’s messin with the message that Jesus Christ brought? This is true, but as of 2013, Ive never seen any of these ‘false prophets’ that are able to show the crowds of people great signs and wonders, the only thing Ive seen from people claiming to be a God or divine in nature is talk, nothing else. and God said there will be many of these false prophets, so maybe we are quite a ways off from the end times, the only mysterious signs and wonders I can think of are UFOs, but no one person is claiming to be responsible for them though, so these may be un-related.
It will be interesting when all these false prophets do show up though, that will be amazing to see someone do true magic and bring fire down from heaven, raise people from the dead, etc. And I truly believe 99% of people seeing this will be instantly convinced of anything the false prophet tells them, since it will be impossible to prove how they are doing all these signs and wonders. I rest assured that once i see a person like this, to not trust in them or worship them, but probably still ok to witness some of their magic.
