My husband and I have been using the Marquette method to avoid pregnancy. I am 36 and he is 38. We have 6 kids, the youngest who just turned 1 May 24. I am not breastfeeding now, but I did until around mid June. My cycles have not returned yet, but I finally had 2 peak days June 27 and 28 according to the meter. June 29 was high and June 30 and July 1 were both low. My peak was accompanied by fertile mucus so I was pretty sure I was ovulating. We counted 3 full days post peak and had relations on the evening of July 2. We thought we were following the rules. However, I still have not gotten my period. I took a pregnancy test Sunday and it was negative. I took one today and I keep thinking I see a faint positive line. I am concerned because we just got back from vacation where I drank tons of fancy drinks. I also have arthritis in my hips and have been taking two aleve most days. I don’t know if my hips can endure another pregnancy. Anyone familiar with Marquette? Did I do something wrong? We just can’t get this postpartum thing right!!!
