Some times I hear it people say that marriage is a symbol of the Trinity, it’s an image of the Trinity. There is something in the formula of the Husband and wife coming together and creating a child that resembles the mystery of the 3 persons in the Trinity. I was just wondering if this is a definite doctrine or a theological theory/opinion. Also where does it come from? Is it from scriptures, sacred tradition, church fathers, the magisterium? Please post any helpful links or scripture passages, I would like to look into this further. Thanks!
