I heard of a marriage blessing called a sancochin ( i don’t know the spelling and i tried to sound it out the way I heard it). Where if one party of a marriage is unwilling to go through the catholic church requirements to validate a marraige, the catholic partner can request from their priest a sancochin that the bishop will bless the marriage so that the catholic party can receive eurcharist again. Any advise on this and and what the correct spelling?

it’s called a Radical Sanation & I just had mine granted. I have a few posts regarding it here on the site. PM me if you want more info or have other questions. it’s not something that’s done much, so a lot of priests, I found, are unaware of it.

It only applies in certain circumstances revolving around the exchange of Consent.
