My future husband and I plan on receiving the sacrament of marriage at our parish. We are both in our mid to late sixties and want only a very small ceremony. We both have grown children from previous marriages, but most of them live quite a distance away and probably wouldn’t want to attend anyway. I’m the only catholic in my family and he is as well. We are looking for suggestions on having a very small ceremony, but want it to be special and meaningful. I dont really want to be escorted down an isle or carry a bouquet. For us, its all about the sacrament itself and saying our vows. Any ideas would be appreciated.
