please pray for my HB and I. for several months hes been talking about divorce. we have 2 children and I know we can make it! hes stopped counseling, and just cancelled the Retrouville weekend we were signed up to go to this weekend.
please help god penetrate his hardened heart to the option of renewing our marriage. he is stubbornly not wanting to try, yet is staying because he feels Guilty to leave. thanks
 
While praying to God never hurts, there are many things you can do to help your husband desire to stay. First, are you greeting him at the door upon his return home with a smile and a big kiss? Are you accepting his romantic advances and showing eagerness to make love? Are you making him yummy meals and letting him know how proud you are of him and how he is your man? I suggest reading the book The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura and being open to anything you read in there that you see in yourself. It definitely has made my marriage very meaningful and happy. I think the women’s movement has made women feel like they deserve certain treatment, but we must earn the love of our husbands. They will not stay if we do not make them king of their castle. I wish you good luck and I will pray for your marriage and for your new journey.

I am sorry to hear that he canceled Retrovaille, but I will pray for your marriage and your husband’s conversion.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
