Hi there,
I am wondering if anyone might be able to help me. I was married in a civil ceremony, but am now divorced. I am curious as to whether I would be able to be married in a church as I am getting married soon and would like my marriage blessed. I know that the Church won’t allow me to marry more than once, but I was just wondering if they would allow it as my first marriage was not done in the church. I had contacted the Priest from my local parish, but he declined to respond to me. Please advise.

Not enough information. Firstly, it depends on whether or not you and/or your spouse were Catholics whether or not a civil marriage was valid. You say you are getting married again “soon”… if you are Catholic you need to reach out to your Catholic parish for premarital preparation.

If you or the person you want to marry are Catholic, I suggest you call the parish office and schedule an appointment with the pastor. Sit down and discuss your situation with him.

Thank you. I will do. I had tried reaching out to my local parish priest, but he didn’t respond back, he knew my situation.

I’m sorry that you didn’t get a response. I would encourage you to try again, or go there in person if necessary.
