Marriage problems - prayers needed

Dear all,

lately i am having a lot of communication problems with my wife. This is affecting me a lot , also her and our little daughter ( almost 2 years old ) . We barely talk nowadays. I am catholic and she is orthodox and we kept our religion when we got married ( in catholic church ). She lost contact with God 7 years ago when her dad passed away. In the last 2-3 years i tried more and more to help her come back to being a practicant by warm words, prayers , day to day examples, not only religion things but day to day issues to solve in a proper way. I have failed until now, and i see her heart getting darker and darker with me ( with my family and my friends ). Egoism, stubbornness, malice, materialism i see in her heart. I see her suffer also because of this situation but she is still keeping it up.

Any advice is kindly welcome.

I kindly ask anyone who can spare a few second for intentions and prayers to God and Saints so that she comes around and learn how to love and so to continue our road.

O God of goodness and mercy, to Thy fatherly guidance we commend our family, our household and all our belongings. We commit all to Thy love and keeping; do Thou fill this house with Thy blessings even as Thou didst fill the holy House of Nazareth with Thy presence. Protect us and our house from all evils and misfortunes.

O Mary, Mother of grace and of mercy, defend us, reconcile us with Thy Son, commit us to His keeping, that so we may be made worthy of His promises.
Saint Joseph, foster-father of our Savior, guardian of His holy Mother, head of the Holy Family, intercede for us, bless us and defend our home at all times.

Would you consider going to a marriage counselor to improve communication?

I know that a lot of times, we think of marriage counseling as a last resort, instead of a first one. Best to tackle problems when they are small than when they are too big, far gone, to fix.

I know of one couple who went to marriage counseling even though their relationship was good. They went to improve communication, because it is key in relationships.

Prayer to Restore a Marriage

Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a heavy heart; my marriage is in trouble, and I need your help. Make changes in my spouse’s heart. Make us compatible again, and bring us closer together. Fill us with your love and give us the strength to love one another, care for one another, and fulfill your destiny for us.

Show us the harm caused by careless words, and the pain caused by emotional distance. Bring us together, like we once were. Show us how to love one another again.

Heal the division between us. Make us one again.

In your name I pray, Amen.

For Help in Trials

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (t3mpus and his wife), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
