My family is in dire need of prayers. The last 2 yrs have been horrible. Om Sept 24, 2006 my daughter died by suicide and my world (name removed by moderator)loded. I turned to my husband for comfort and he was not there. He spent the next 8 months avoiding any contact with me in my grief.

My daughter was not his child as her father and I had married young and divorced back in 1975 but for him to be so distant and cold toward me increased my grief and pain from my child’s loss.

Then my mother passed away and her family and her husband refused to even let me attend her funeral. I was adopted at birth and her husband had always been ugly towards me but her siblings behavior shocked and compounded my grief.

It was at this time I found out that my husband had been complaining to him and my mom’s siblings about my depression, and how all I did was cry. This is the excuse her husband used to get them to keep me in the dark.

Then I found out my huband had sold over $50,000.00 worth of our stock portfolio.our retirement! We are both in our 50’s and could not afford that. He did it behind my back right before my daughter died. Then I realized he had most of it back then and had made me have to beg her friends to help me bury her!

Since then he has all but wiped out our retirement funds. all but his 401k. He has made it a point not to let me have access to our checking account, even to the point to getting apost office box in town ro keep me in the dark.

I am at a loss now. He is again out of town with his friends, using all of his vacation again this year away from me. He has become verbally abusive and makes me beg for anything I need, even refusing to pay for my medicine.

I felt I had no other choice anymore, and saw a lawyer today, Our accounts are frozen except for basics and when my husband comes home next week he will find a restrainig order served on him through his brotherinlaw (his lawyer)

As much as this grieves me, I don’t see that I had anyother choice. If he agrees to counceling and goes with me maybe we can work on things. But my faith and trust in him will never be the same.

Please pray for him and me…and our marriage.:sad_yes: :crying:

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you and your peace. Praying that you will have people that care about you to support you through all that has happened. Keep up your courage.

Amen.

Will keep you in my prayers, too.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

You have been through a lot of turmoil in such a short timespan. Don’t let it knock you down. I will be praying for your perseverance.
