If one of the parties of an engagement is afraid of having children due to reasons of the own persons bad health, and therefore decides they should adopt instead of have natural children, is this allowed, or will they be refused a marriage?

A valid Christian marriage requires that the partners be open to procreation. This is, of course, something to be discussed with one’s pastor.
Canon 1096.1 For matrimonial consent to exist, it is necessary that the contracting parties be at least not ignorant of the fact that marriage is a permanent partnership between a man and a woman, ordered to the procreation of children through some form of sexual cooperation.

It depends. No one can answer that question here. This is something the couple would need to discuss with their pastor.
