Marriage question

My cousin was baptized Catholic.
She is pregnant.
Her fiance is Lutheran.
They will be getting married in the Lutheran Church.
I think I need to write her a letter and ask her if she has considered getting a dispensation in order for the marriage to be valid and for there to be no problems for future baptisms.

Any suggestions? How do I tell her to go about getting a dispensation? Explain the process to me 🙂

Baptized Catholic, OK. Raised a Catholic? Is she a member of another Church or is she a member of the Catholic Church? If she has been a Catholic and practiced her Faith most of her life, I would just openly tell her what she is letting herself in for. Has she by any chance already joined the Lutheran Church?
 
What she needs to do is go see a priest in her local parish.

He can guide her on the process in that diocese for applying for and obtaining a dispensation, and also give information on the Catholic marriage prep they would be required to fulfill. He can also discuss the child, baptism, etc, with her and her fiance.

She needs to meet with her pastor. Her pastor willexplain all that is necessary. After they.she completes the necessary pre-Marriage preparation he will request if he feels that it is appropriate, the necessary permissions and Dispensations.

Were they already engaged to be Married and working through the pre-Marriage requirements before she became pregnant? If not and the Marriage is a result of the pregnancy situation, it could be an invalidation factor.
