I’m amazed, nay, SHOCKED that you can’t find a couple of witnesses who will step up to the plate to witness the convalidation of your marriage.
I can’t imagine how you must feel by the ‘reception’ you’ve received in your new parish. I am very sorry for you and your poor wife. I just can’t imagine a place where the people are so uncaring that they couldn’t spare a few minutes of their time for something this important.
If you could reveal roughly where you are, I’ll bet the ranch that there is SOMEONE on this forum who would RUSH to your location to witness the blessing of your marriage in Christ’s Church. I’ll be hittin’ the beads tonight for someone to come to your aid. May God bless you.
