My wife and I are looking for a marriage retreat, preferably in Michigan. I have tried to surf the net and have not been successful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have already been to marriage encounter and several non-denominational marriage conferences and one local catholic marriage retreat (probably 10 total) but, we are looking for something new. We find it to be a great investment in our marriage and gives us an opportunity to spend quality time together and grow closer through faith.

Have you tried talking to the family life director or someone who works ministerially in a similar capacity (such as NFP education coordinator) at your parish to see if they could give you any references?

We are from a very small parish and have limited resources. We have gone as far as contacting the Diocese with no luck. Thanks.

Ditto - looking for a marriage retreat in Southern New England (we live in northern CT)… but we really want to get away. When we were married, we did Engaged Encounters which was ok, but the best part was that it was at St Thomas Seminary in Hartford, absolutely beautiful and peaceful location. The ME sessions here are at Marriotts and the like. We basically want the advantage of a Catholic retreat, but targeted toward couples.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Be aware! Retrouvaille is for troubled marriages. I didn’t get that from the OP.

Peace,
Linda

Still looking? If so, I have a couple of suggestions. Look up Fr. John Ricardo. He does some great lectures and retreats up there. I love his free podcasts. If you want to listen to another one, Fr. Altier has some good ones too.

I highly recomend the Marriage Getaway Weekend at Catholic Familyland they have great family fests also. There website www.familyland.org/-]

Thank you for your suggestion. My wife and I have considered Catholic Family Land but are hoping for something closer…preferably in Michigan. Any ideas for a Marriage retreat weekend in Michigan?🤷

I am not sure if you are still looking for one…But, Light Up Your Marriage holds an annual retreat in Milwaukee, WI at a hotel with very reasonable rates and the registration fee is super cheap only $60 per couple… you can visit www.lightupyourmarriage.org for more information on it…we went last year and it was phenomonial.
