Hi friends,
My husband and I have been married for 5 1//2 years. We have a 3 1/2 year old, a 2 1/2 year old, and our baby (tear) is just about to turn one next week (everyone keeps saying, time for another one! hahaha).

I would love to go to conferences/retreats like I did when I was a teenager- I was a ‘retreat junkie’ and I kind of miss it. While I don’t want to spend too much time away from my babes, I would like to go on a retreat with my husband, perhaps for an anniversary or birthday gift, and maybe a full family retreat, not too far away- we live in the northeast- (though those cruises to the holy land with steve ray sound pretty fantastic) and not too pricey. Mostly I want some crazy big fun time with other Catholics to really encourage and invigorate our ‘radical’ lifestyle- it’s so easy to feel boggled down by society when you’re trying to live the Truth.

Check your archdiocesan website for retreat houses. Also a Marriage Encounter weekend might be a great gift to each other.

While it is not actually a “retreat”, Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a wonderful weekend designed just for each other. The whole focus is for the two of you to focus on each other. The Encounter goes beyond the weekend and makes every day brighter. ❤️

Check out their website for the weekend nearest you. Some couple drive to other states if there isn’t a weekend offered near them.

My husband and I invite you and your husband to attend.

Marriage Encounter is not for everyone and based on your statement that you were a retreat junkie I would suggest you read some of the other threads on WWME in the forum. It is not designed for socializing.
