If this is how a couple wants to set up their common conjugal life, I don’t see what is wrong with it. Why did they marry each other? Because who else would stay with them through thick and thin while giving them a hermitage to call their very own, too? If they both want the same thing and they are both satisfied with how they achieve their special brand of intimacy, why not? Why does anyone else feel a need to come in and dictate what this couple’s brand of self-sacrifice has to look like? Yes, if it were you, you’d be sad and the situation would be sad, but this isn’t you. Let other people be different; it does you no harm.
