I’m brand new to the boards- and not yet married but I just want to say i agree with the pp responses. I have been reading/posting on a secular wedding/marriage-family board for a while and it is so encouraging to be here instead!
I think “being open” implies “being ready” in the truest way, and that is the sense I get from the rest of the posters in this thread. You get married, and are READY to be open to children, no matter what the circumstance, even if you may have serious/grave reasons to postpone a pregnancy…but even during this time of postponement, one submits to the will of God and is open to whatever children He may send, whether it’s during the time of postponement or not. Therefore, you are ready for children, should they come (and we all know that when we engage in relations, we COULD concieve, if that is God’s will…even when we sometimes think that the chances of it happening are slim to none, like during what we may percieve to be an infertile time.)
