OraLabora, my husband would argue that he was forced into the marriage because he was unaware that I had cheated during our relationship. I know he is using this now as an excuse… but perhaps he is right. I will consult a priest. I just feel like such a bother… hate to bother them. Thank you for your reply!
Actually, your husband might be inadvertently doing you a favor here. If, on the basis of his complaint, an annulment is granted (and it might be a long shot,) BOTH of you might be free to remarry (sometimes, tribunals will recommend that the so-called “guilty” party gets some sort of counseling before a new marriage in the Church can occur.) During an annulment proceeding, the parties need not meet in a courtroom, or anything like that. It’s all conducted by interview and paperwork. If he does file for an annulment, and it’s granted, he might be saving you a heck of a lot of work.

Whatever you do, though, if he files for annulment, DON’T tell him that he’s doing you a favor! Learn to keep your own counsel, and share thoughts only with trustworthy individuals. This man is not trustworthy.

Absolutely, though, run it past your parish priest. That’s part of their job as shepherd to their flock, and actually, they’d rather do what they were called to do than the mundane tasks of parish administration.
