When St Augustine got a woman pregnant they did not get married.

Doesn’t really seem applicable, since he was not Christian at the time.

St. Augustine son was baptized WITH his dad! He was about 18-years-old, if I recall correctly.

I have not heard it was because of hormones but because of pressure. A new mother’s hormones fluctuate greatly after delivery. So, if they were basing it on hormones, it should be before delivery or a year after!
IMO, I think they should relax some of the views on it but that is left to each diocese to decide. From my view, they, pregnant before, do not seem any more at risk of getting a divorce or getting an annulment than the general catholic population.
