marrying outside the church

hello, i have questions. i want to know if the church accept marriage done in courts.

in my country may persons marriage in the courts. it have not with the church. people come from my country to america. they wan to get divorce, or their esposa leave them. but they were not marry in the church, only in the court system.

if someone spouse leave them, and they were only marrying in the court. can this persons divorce without doing wrong in the church views ? i don want to start trouble but life and my friend life is very complicate.

i have a friend marry in american courts. it is legal marraige. Some time pass, and her husband leave her and go to his country. she is stuck, marry to this man who is no here now. she think, someday she get marriage again here in US to other man. but, she have to divorce husband who now living some other places, no body know where he live now.

she say me, can i divorce him? or is this wrong for her. and then she want to know, someday can she marry in the church, being divorce from abandonment. i say, i no pastor, i not priest, o abogado, but i try give help.

She should talk to her parish priest. He can answer her questions and help her.
 
yeah but i don think she go to church at this time.

i am trying to tell her about god, Bible, church, and hope that she go to church some times.

but right now i am trying to help her understand big problem for her. she was raised in church but it a long time for her
 
It does not cost anything to talk to a priest. I am guessing that your native language is Spanish. If you ask around, you can almost certainly find a Spanish speaking priest to talk to.

Go to Church. We all need God and the Church is his house.
