Basically, it boils down to the fundamental difference between the Hegelian and Marxist worldview. Hegel was a transcendentalist; Marx thought that transcendentalism was all poppycock, and was himself a materialist. Marx thought that the transcendentalists were all navel-gazers, and were wasting their time: real philosophy only happens in the concrete, according to Marx.Does anyone here understand this article:
