Back to approved apparitions…

To recap, the following are approved: Walsingham, Rue de Bac (Mirauclous Medal), Lourdes, Knock, Fatima, Beauring, Banneux

Not so sure about these apparitions: Siluva (Lithuania), Pontmain, Akita, Rwanda, Nicaragua. Can someone clarify?

The above list includes one that shows the problems one encounters in dealing with private revelation. The Kibeho, Rwanda apparitions had 7 seers (one a Muslim).

Now the apparition has been approved by Rome but only 3 of the 7 seers are recognized. Talk about having to make a call on that. It just shows that sometimes these things seem to be like a broken telephone line to heaven - one gets the message one does not.

And even with LaSalle, I do not believe the Church put much weight to the prophechies made therein, though the apparition is recognized.

If you google “Our Lady of Siluva.” you’ll find many websites which provide information about this apparition. According to the one provided by the Knights of Lithuania, www.ourladyofsiluva.com, the apparition was authenticated by Papal decree of Pope Pius VI in 1775.
When Lithuania was going Calvinist, it was this apparition of Our Lady which brought the country back to the Church.
