Anyone know who is putting these out?

I’ve begun noticing them around town…the one over the benches at the train terminal had Jack Chick booklets stacked below it (“Why is Mary Crying?”)

The large one along the main street refers to Mary as the mother of God…one elderly lady commented to my husband, “Doesn’t that make you sick? As if God didnt always exist, and needed a woman to create Him?”

I wonder if maybe Catholics should rethink their terminology, because its evidently giving some people the impression that Catholics believe that God was created by Mary.

Calling God a Trinity causes problems with many people too (‘doesn’t that make you sick? As if God hasn’t always been One, and needed to split up into three persons … more like three Gods, really’)

as does calling Jesus God incarnate (‘doesn’t that make you sick? As if God hasn’t always been eternal spirit, and needed to demean Himself by becoming human’ …)

I’d think of it as a teaching moment, and if the teaching isn’t heard, at least just a small opportunity to suffer along with Christ, who suffered so much more for what He taught.

Kinda like when people might comment negatively on the fact that you as a Jew don’t eat certain foods or circumcise your boys or what have you …

I was simply asking who puts the billboards out, I didn’t ask to be preached to.
