I saw on another thread where a Muslims said that Mary is the most honored woman in Islam and the greatest woman who ever lived. My question is, if Mohammed, not Jesus, is the greatest prophet, why is Mary the Mother of Jesus the greatest woman rather than Mohammed’s mother?

Good question! I dont have that answer; but I will tell you that Muhammads mother died when he was six. She didnt raise him as he was sent (I think soon after birth) to live with some tribal people for some reason.
She didnt play any big roll in his life. I really wonder how a “prophet of God” could have such a hard childhood instead of loving parents to keep him in a safe and loving environment?
I mean he is supposed to be so important and such.
I am sure God has control over fates such as that.🤷

God made Mary the most pious woman . it isnt up to Muhammed to decree God’s will. God revealed that in the Quran and ths we muslims believe it is the truth. We aren’t really in some sort of competition. islam for muslims is a continuation of Gods same message , thus we consider all believers to be members of the same family. god also told us that on judgement day the only thing that counts will be piety and obedience to God . Just because a lady is a prophet’s mother doesnt mean she is a believer. It isnt about your mother and my mother it is about proper belief in God.

and Muhammed isnt the greatest Prophet , he is the last Prophet.It is forbidden on muslims yo make preferences between prophets, although sadly some misinformed do so .

So then why is muhammad worshiped across the world ?

interesting question. Usually Muslims do not engage in such arguments, they just believe them and go on . The same applies to Jesus’ virgin birth as well…they believe in it but they don’t know why it happened.
 
**Does it really matter what Mahometans think of Mary if they refuse to recognize her Son as God Incarnate risen from the dead?

True Mariology is supposed to be part of Christology.

Since they don’t believe in the real Jesus, they don’t believe in the real Mary, either.**

Here is ahadith that speaks about Mohammeds mother:
Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to me. So visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death. (Book #004, Hadith #2130)~Muslim

She died before his call so her fate is with the unbelievers. Here is one about his favorite uncle who similarly did not profess Islam before dying:
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: A mention was made of his uncle Abu Talib before the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) He said: My intercession may benefit him on the Day of Resurrection and he may be placed in the shallow part of the fire which would reach his ankles and his brain would be boiling. (Book #001, Hadith #0411)~Muslim

Mohammedans honor Mary only superficially as with most things non-Muslim. Aisha is often refered to as the ‘mother of believers’.
