We all know that Joseph was of the house of David, and it even spells out the lineage in the Gospels.
I have heard, and believed, that Mary is also of the house of David. But do we have any scriptural reference to that, or is this only something that we have from tradition and the Church fathers?
I don’t think it matters all that much, but I love to be able to point out where we get these notions.
