Mary is the New Ark of the Convenant?

Is it a common Catholic belief that Mary is the new Ark of the Convenant? and what does this mean exactly. I know the old testaments Ark of the Convenant contained the 10 commandments.

I believe that since the Womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary became the House of God, and that She is the Mediatrix of all grace and all justice, i.e. the One we should be consulting in regards to our salvation, that the rest given Moses and all others is secondary to Her position.

I also accept that the continuity between what Moses recieved and all the " Great Things " recieved ( hidden ) was unbroken and The Blessed Virgin would not have done anything to undo or negate from God.

Also I would ask you to consider what is greater, an object of matter like the ARK, ( which is great indeed ) or the Living Ark of an Immaculate Being containg Divinity.

There is a great difference in the unliving and the living but the same God.

Symbolically speaking yes.

The Ark of the Old Covenant contain the Written Word of God (Ten Commandments), Aaron’s rod, and Manna.

Mary carried the literal Word of God made flesh in her womb, Jesus Christ. She became the Living Tabernacle or the New Ark of the Covenant.
 
One of the invocations of Our Lady in the Litany of Loretto is “Ark of the Convenant.”
 
Yes she is as she carried the Lord within her.

What made the original Ark of the Covenant special? It was created special to keep the Word of God, Aarons Rod and the Manna. As these were things of God, it made the Ark special.

Since Jesus is God, He made Mary special.
