I don’t have a problem with your answers. I don’t mind reading your post because they make you look humble and caring.

I love hearing good Bible preaching and teaching. I listen and then look into (study for myself) what is said if it’s ‘new’ to me or different from what I’ve thought to be true.

Pastors are not alway correct, IMO. Priest and popes are not always correct, IMO. (on doctrine or teaching or understanding)

You can have what you want to have and believe what you want to believe. I must stand before God with what I understand and for what I did with what I know. That’s scary, but wonderful.
agreed with this. we will have to stand before our Creator one day. and yes i agree it is scary and wonderful at the same time.lol! ill pray for you, and you pray for me. hows that sound.👍

Sounds like an honor to me. God bless and be with you and yours, Friend.

That reminds me of what one of Marcus Grodi’s guests said on Journey Home (EWTN), “When every protestant gets to Heaven they usually say, ‘Wow, it’s pretty Catholic up here!’” 😃

NO I DID NOT. I was never a Catholic. I was born into a family that was Congregational, a liberal protestant denomination. I have since been convinced liberal theology is wrong. You either have mixed me up with someone else or have a faulty memory.

Now, please explain the K in DoKimas.

:rotfl::rotf: HOW TRUE! HOW TRUE! man are they ever gonna be suprised. it would be so wonderful though if the Blessed Mother would reveal Herself in this lifetime to them. i do not think they realize what they are missing out on and the comforting knowledge that goes with this. i can sometimes almost see Her. it is wonderful. especially during very difficult curcumstances and painful physical activity, to be able to offer up the Rosary and make our sufferings a sacrifice to the Lord. its gonna get real rough in the next few months for me as i train up for deployment. and at my age, its even harder than for the younger guys. The prayers of the Church and the Rosary have gotten me thru alot. makes pain and suffering easier to bear, and attaches meaning to them. nothing is meaningless when you view life thru Jesus, Mary and the Church. and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. God bless you and yours.🙂

hi dokimas. if you have become convinced tht liberal theology is wrong. then i would say you have made a huge step. that must not have been easy. it must have been very difficult id assume. God bless you in your search. that is as big a jump for you, as for me when i joined the Catholic Church. life altering to say the least. if you dont mind my asking. do you still have a good relationship with you family? my prayers are with you my brother.🙂

I’m not sure it was all that hard. I knew God exists. I have somewhat of an anylitical mind so liberal theology just didn’t make sense. I dare say that same anylitical mind has taken me on a path differently than to the CC.

I had a prayer request answered today that I’ve had for over 20 yrs. I had asked God to help me find a person my heart had be knit together with back in 70’s. I’ve tried to find him through the internet. Today I got his # and we had a most wonderful conversation for purhaps an hour. God blessed me ‘muchly’ today.

The last time I saw him was January of '77 on our wedding day.

p.s. no offence, i thought you were a guy!:o God bless you and yours. and you are an inspiration, for your persistent prayer:)
