Does anyone know what age the virgin Mary was when the angel appeared to her to bring forth baby Jesus?

No one knows how old Mary was.

There is speculation that she was about 14 that was the ususal age that a girl married.
 
I’m sorry I don’t remember the source, but I’ve heard she was sixteen years old, when she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Parents arranged marriages back then - sometimes years in advance. It could well be that Mary was 12 when the betrothal was made. We don’t know how much time passed between Mary’s betrothal and the appearance of the angel – it could have been several years after the betrothal.
 
Based on the time period 12-14 would be about right. I think 16 is a bit old for that time period, but anything is possible.

the angel announced the conceptionthrough the power of the HOly Spirit of Jesus, he did not “bring forth” the Baby Jesus, and she was evidently of marriageable age for her time and place, mid or late teens, most likely.

Betrothal which was the first part of the marriage lasted anywhere from one to two years. During that time the woman stayed with her family preparing to be a wife and waiting for her husband to come and take her to his house. We do not know how long it was but we do know that the angel told Joseph not to be afraid to take his wife into his home which was the second part of the marriage.

The age of the Blessed Virgin when she conceived our Lord is not recorded in Holy Scripture. However, I read from The Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary (from the Visions of Venerable Anne Catherine Emmerich), TAN Books, 1970 edition, Chapter 7, p. 145 (last paragraph in this chapter) that she was a little over 14 years old at the time of the Incarnation. This seems to be in line with everything that the posters in this thread have said so far.
