By the way, where was Isis when the one true God delivered the Jews from slavery in Egypt? Having a pedicure? 🤷
The Egyptians didnt make a habbit of using slaves for things like construction, they used their own ā€œfreeā€ tradesmen.

If I recall correctly, there is some mention of one Pharo (I cant remember which one) using slaves on one particular project (it may have been a temple). But that is it and doesnt conclusivly prove the exodus tale.

Besides that, slavery was a very common practice in all cultures at that time. So why should she step in?

Also, I wouldnt really start throwing stones about who did what. Thanks to the christians, we nearly lost all ancient egyptian culture for all time.

Islam does
Yes, it does, according to wikipedia… I thought since they didn’t believe Jesus was divine, but only a prophet, that they wouldn’t believe in the virgin birth… Learn something new every day, eh?

They made farmers and such work on public projects during the times between floods… it was sort a civic duty to go and work… you worked for ā€˜x’ number of years and then were rotated off… worked to keep people busy during lulls, too.

Additionally, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists do not accept that a dead man can resurrect. Muslims even deny that Jesus ever died.

Islam does
Then an islamic shocker for you. On visit to heaven Mo married Mary and consumated too. Muslims believe that, as it was direct from Mo’s mouth. He confessed it to his first wife Khadija.

Mmmm. Interesting. I bet Khadija was jealous. :coffeeread:

When prophecy was written, it was said that a virgin will give birth to a child.

Do you think her virginity is incidental? Or do you suppose that there is something theologically or spiritually significant regarding a virgin?
A virgin conceiving a child is, from a human standpoint, a contradiction in terms. Therefore - the prophecy that a virgin will conceive and give birth to a child means that this is no ordinary child. This child is special.

Connection is islamic belief in Mary’s virginity, quoted by yoy. I quoted another islamic belief re Mary.

Are trying to play ā€œheads I win, tails you loseā€?

You asked the question. Did you not want the answer?
Why would moving onto other Islamic sayings that have nothing to do with your question and dont have any relevance to the thread topic shock me other than you moving off topic?

If you did not want the answer were you trolling?

dont understand this at all?

Both the New King James (Protestant) and the New American (Catholic) versions accurately read:

ā€œthe virgin shall conceive and bear a sonā€

The original Hebrew text reads ha-al-mah, meaning ā€œa young woman or maiden who may be betrothed to be marriedā€. The Septuagint, the Greek version of the Hebrew text, reads he parthenos, ā€œthe virginā€. Etymologically ha al-mah can also mean ā€œthe concealed oneā€ which implies the virginity of a young maiden betrothed to be married. It would appear that St. Matthew referred to the Septuagint when he quoted the prophet Isaiah (1:23) or he interpreted the Hebrew text according to the wider connotations of the word al-mah. We know that Jesus referred to the Septuagint in many of his sayings. Anyway, the definite article in the Greek does technically function to define the noun that it modifies as well as identify it as something singular or peculiar often in association with something else. I believe, with regard to the Virgin Mary, we find both functions in simultaneous operation.

ā€œThe virginity of Mary and the birth of Jesus were hidden from the prince of this world.ā€
St. Ignatius of Antioch (c. A.D. 107)

The bishop distinguishes Mary’s virginal state from the event of the virgin birth. He does not mean only the virgin birth. Tutored in the Johannine school of theology, in accordance with Apostolic Tradition, he would have known about Mary’s continence. After all, his mentor, Bishop Polycarp, was a disciple of St. John.

I posed a question, you produced an islamic belief. I posted another belief. How can you pick and choose. If muslims are right about, then are RIGHT all the way. If they are lting, then lie all the way.

dont understand this at all?

Simple it is.

Got from a muslim direct.

They do not believe that Mary was ever married to Joseph alias Yusuf. They also believe that Mary was saying her namaz.

I never stated who was right or wrong, i answered your direct question with a direct answer.

As for the bold parts read my posts, you are trying to expand upon a simple answer to a direct question.
I am not understanding you, i dont think that because people are right about one, thing they are right on all things.

Now for the first time in this chat IMO, muslims are right that Mary (bbhn) had a virgin birth.
If they are lting, then lie all the way.
You type like i do LOL assuming the bold word is lying you are wrong.
Satan or his helpers love to mix truth and untruth to device us, my experience is that is so in Christian and Islamic belief.
Simple it is…
Got from a muslim direct.
Bro be careful deciding a religion from experience of just few muslims.
Where i live here in Australia Muslims are from all corners of the globe and have some major differences in what is Islamic and what is tradition.
My experience of both Christians and Muslims is their knowledge of religion can vary widely as does the ā€œi know it allā€ attitude embraced by some.
They do not believe that Mary was ever married to Joseph alias Yusuf.
So you now offer, it has no connection to my simple answer to your simple question.
They also believe that Mary was saying her namaz
.Namaz is a Persian word not an Arabic word. The words salat and namaz often used from a cultural understanding of prayer.
I dont think any Christians would disagree Mary (bbhn) prayed.

B blessed B guided

You judged them right ā€œat least onceā€. I don’t judge them att all. Either they say the truth about Mary or lie about her.

We anyway do not accept virgin birth.

As per Genesis 3:15 and the prophets this was not to be just any virgin; This virgin will not be tainted with the evil one, That God has placed enmity between the serpent and the woman and her seed which also foretells of her virginity because she carries her own seed.

The divine in order to enter time and flesh, took on flesh from the Virgin who was without sin, for emmanuel is without sin, and cannot be tainted in anyway with sin.

This virgin becomes the new eve. of whom Jesus dignifies her (blessed virgin Mary) with the title ā€œWomanā€. Because she is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. She is the new eve because we are her offspring Rev.12:17 Mother of all the living.

This Virgin represents the body of Jesus Christ on earth. Meaning the Church Jesus built upon Peter has known no other God nor has worshipped any false gods. The virgin Catholic Church has no other husband but her bridegroom Jesus Christ.

The virgin also indicates that nothing unclean ever enters the throne room of God. This bride the virgin must be spotless and without wrinkle in order for the divine to be present to his virgin bride. That is how the Holy Spirit was able to overshadow Mary, and why the Church will one day present herself as a virgin bride to her bride groom in heaven.
This is interesting,Gabriel. Where does this teaching come from?
Jon
