Curious were they really Catholic. Because if you are truly Catholic you obey the Church. How can be Really Catholic and yet go against the teaching of the Catholic Church is beyond my level of understanding:shrug:Thanks for the prayers, I can always use them.
From a masonic source - directly - that Masons are not anti-Catholic.

The lodge I was a member of had many Catholic members. No one was treated any different because of their religious beliefs. I know Catholics across the country who are Masons. No one ever found any anti-Catholic behavior, action, discussion, writings, etc.
The above article I referenced clearly and accurately describes that in this country, and even many areas around the world, in the late 1800s and early 1900s were anti-Catholic. I think those feelings carried into even the 1960s. It was everywhere. So somehow, because some Masons were anti-Catholic, somehow the whole organization became vilified.
In our history, some Catholics belonged to the KKK and were racists. If I used this same kind of thinking, then isn’t it a forgone conclusion that the Catholic Church is racist?
You cannot condemn an entire group for the actions of a few. That is prejudicial.
And you label yourself as a Roman Catholic. Boy after hearing how well you stick up the The RCC the Living Christ it reminds me of the great saying. With friends like you, why would we ever need enemies.Very true and non-members cannot sit in and listen to meetings. Because they are secret except for the membership.
The glass house and throwing of stones comes to mind when the Church uses the secrets argument when it comes to Masons. Masons are not a secret society, just a society with secrets…just like most fraternal organizations including the KofC.
